Minimal Tokyo presents summer lounge at Saloon with guest DJs Acht (Italobusiness, FHD Records) and Valentino de Bronff (Minimood).

ACHT a.k.a Yosuke Kamihigashi is an up-and-coming minimal techno producer and visual artist from Tokyo. His clicky, melodic and dreamy compositions have been recently released on such labels as Italobusiness and FHD Records and were a pleasant and enjoyable surprise. He says that his interest toward art and minimalism was first encouraged by his grandmother who was an ikebana instructor. As he studied art in university he continued to explore the ‘essense of expression’ being inspired by such minimalist masters as 
Touhaku Hasegawa, Frank Stella, Mark Rothko and Christian Boltanski. He started DJing in 2004 and composing in 2007 trying to express himself both through paintings and electronic sounds.

ACHT 東京出身、生け花の師範をである祖母から、多大な影響を受ける。その影響は、表現への喜びへと変わり、美術制作、絵画制作へと発展。制作活動を続ける中、徐々にminimal artへ傾倒していく。同時期に、minimal houseの洗礼を受け、サウンドとビジュアルを用いたインスタレーション形式で作品を発表。この頃から、ミニマルの持つ中毒性に大きな可能性を見いだしていく。2004年自然な流れで、DJ活動を開始。そして2007年から本格的にトラック制作をスタート。2008年に Italobusiness からSide EP、FHD Records からWhale EPをそれぞれリリース。現在、独自の感性、ビジュアルで培った感覚をミニマルといったフォーマットに落とし込み、新たな世界観を表現している。

VALENTINO DE BRONFF is an Austrian DJ and a co-founder of one of the best minimal techno and house record label Minimood. He DJs regularly with Minimal Tokyo crew, as well as all around Tokyo.
