Trimsound Live:
Tom Ellis and Leif

Tom Ellis and Leif founded Trimsound label in 2004 as an outlet for their unique blend of minimal techno: dubby, extremely funky and deep; with bass and percussion recorded live for a sound as warm as possible. Their releases on Morris Audio, Moon Harbor, Fear of Flying, Telegraph and Trimsound have received glowing reviews from respected music magazines such as DE:BUG and DJ MAG and are often played by top names in minimal music scene, including Akufen, Richie Hawtin, Daniel Bell and Magda. Besides their highly acclaimed DJ sets, Tom and Leif also perform live as “Trimsound Live” when they bring together hardware sequencers, laptop and live bass guitar. Trimsound Live has been touring all over the UK and Europe with overwhelming success and will perform in Tokyo for the very first time.
Tom Ellis と Leif は2004年に Trimsound レーベルを発足。以後、ダビーかつとてもファンキーなサウンドに、ベースとパーカッションのディープなライブレコーディングを加えた彼ら独自のミニマルテクノサウンドを発表している。Morris Audio, Moon Harbor, Trimsoundからのリリースは、DE:BUGや DJMAGといった素晴らしい雑誌の紙面上でも賞賛されている。また、Akufen, Richie Hawtin, Daniel Bell, MagdaといったミニマルテクノシーンのトップDJたちによってもプレイされている。彼らのDJにはすでに定評があるが、同時にハードウェアシーケンサー、ラップトップ、それに生のベースで構成される「 Trimsound Live 」としてのパフォーマンスも行っている。「 Trimsound Live 」はUKとヨーロッパをツアーし、圧倒的な成功をおさめている。今回は、ここMinimal Tokyoにて日本初のパフォーマンスを繰り広げる。
