Minimal Tokyo crew will play at Coded Cultures art and media festival in Vienna, Austria on May 31, 2009!

Minimal Tokyo resident artists Shu Okuyama (Milnormodern, Minimood) and Ivan Kuzbass will join DJ Glow and Microthol from an acclaimed Viennese label Trust Records to perform a finest selection of electronic dance music. This special event, produced by 5uper.net, will transform former Imperial Stables (Hofstallungen) of Vienna’s MuseumsQuartier into booming techno club to celebrate the closing of the Coded Cultures festival.

５月３１日、オーストリアの首都ウィーンで開催される Coded Cultures art and media festivalに参加します！このフェスティバルにて、Minimal Tokyoレジデントアーティスト Shu Okuyama (Milnormodern,Minimood)と Ivan Kuzbass は、ウィーンのレーベル Trust Records の DJ Glow と Microthol と共に最高のエレクトロニック・ダンスミュージックをパフォーマンスします。5uper.net がプロデュースするこのスペシャルイベントでは、かつて宮廷の馬小屋として建てられ、現在のウィーンの文化の中心地であるミュージアム・クォーターが、このフェスティバルを締めくくるテクノ・パーティーの会場となります。

CODED CULTURES – Exploring Creative Emergencies (27 – 31 May, 2009) is a bi-national Austria – Japan festival which is focusing on a new generation of media and knowledge cultures. As part of the “Austria – Japan Year 2009” the festival introduces work of artists, curators and scientists from Japan, Austria and Europe. The symposium, the exhibition and the events of Coded Cultures are showing artistic developments on the intersections of the art, technology, science and entertainment.

CODED CULTURES – Exploring Creative Emergencies （２００９年５月２７～３１日）はオーストリアと日本、両国間におけるフェスティバルで、主にメディアと知識文化の新しい世代に焦点をあてています。日本オーストリア交流年２００９の一環であるこのフェスティバルは、日本とオーストリアそしてヨーロッパのアーティスト、キュレーター、サイエンティストによる作品を紹介しています。Coded Culturesのシンポジウムやエキシビションなどのイベントは、アート、テクノロジー、サイエンス、エンターテイメントの分野を横断するアーティスティックな発展を表しています。

MINIMAL TOKYO is a Tokyo-based event format that brings together an international selection of DJs, producers, designers and media artists. Since 2007 it has been running one of Tokyo’s top events for electronic dance music with a minimal flavor: minimal techno, click house and tech house. Minimal Tokyo also closely collaborates with visual artists striving to create a perfect balance between electronic music and digital visuals.

TRUST RECORDS. For the last 10 years Trust Records has been a Vienna’s main outlet for Detroit-style underground electro, techno bass and futuristic breaks. The label is run by DJ Glow, and besides local talent like Microthol, Epy and Lok44 the label’s roster has expanded to include respected international artists like Urban Tribe or Clatterbox.

TRUST RECORDS はここ１０年間、デトロイト・スタイルのアンダーグラウンド・エレクトロ／テクノ・ベース／フューチャリスティック・ブレイクスをリリースしているウィーンのレーベルです。DJ Glowが運営するこのレーベルは、Microthol、EpyやLok44などのローカルタレントのほかにも、国際的にレスペクトされているUrban Tribe、Clatterboxといったアーティストも参加しています。
